Habitus

Kalim Bechara Art Gallery is delighted to invite you to Habitus, the first solo exhibition by Tayf Al-Masri, opening on Wednesday, January 21, 2026, at 6:00 PM.

Born in Baalbek, Tayf Al-Masri is a multidisciplinary visual artist whose practice is deeply rooted in the urban landscape, its textures, memories, and layered histories. Working with collage, printmaking, and wood-based installations, his work draws from both personal experience and collective heritage to explore themes of place, fragmentation, and identity.

In Habitus, ruins are not silent. Graffiti becomes a language, and the tension between past and present reflects our complex and fragile relationship with the land. The exhibition invites viewers into spaces where memory, neglect, and belonging intersect.

The show will remain on view until February 07, 2026, at Kalim Bechara Art Gallery, Downtown

Thresholds of the Unseen

Kalim Bechara Art Gallery is pleased to invite you to the opening of “Thresholds of the Unseen”, a new body of work by Caleen Ladki on Thursday, January 08, 2026, at 6:00 PM.

This exhibition marks a significant evolution in the artist’s practice, presenting her first exploration of oil painting and a conceptually rich inquiry into liminal spaces, transition, and the unseen.

Rooted in notions of barzakh, the threshold between worlds, the works unfold as a quiet progression from density to openness, darkness to release. Through layered surfaces, restrained gestures, and an ethereal palette, the paintings invite sustained contemplation and reveal a mature, introspective direction in Ladki’s work.

The show will remain on view until January 19, 2026, at Kalim Bechara Art Gallery, Downtown.

Holiday Inn Beirut

Kalim Bechara Art Gallery invites you to the opening reception of Holiday Inn Beirut, Mira El-Khalil’s newest exhibition, on Thursday, December 18, 2025, at 6:00 PM.

El-Khalil transforms one of Beirut’s most charged architectural landmarks, an icon of the Lebanese Civil War, into a living, breathing companion. Once the central figure of her early paintings, the Holiday Inn now drifts in and out of view, shifting through scenes of friendship, introspection, and memory. Beirut’s scarred architecture becomes an emotional language, recolored, reimagined, and vividly alive.

The show will remain on view until January 03, 2026, at Kalim Bechara Art Gallery, Downtown
